Voltaire was a french philosopher in the Enlightenment in the 17th and early 18th century. Voltaire was born on November 21st, 1694. He was born in Paris, France. Voltaire was a french writer and had many beliefs. Voltaire was against the government because he though it wasn't fair to the Lord. Voltaire's beliefs were truly Church based. Sadly, Voltaire died a the age of 83 on May 30th, 1778. The last words of Voltaire were"For God's sake, let me die in peace." He died by being too excited.
