Montesquieu's accomplishments
Montesquieu had a very high position in society and was very important to the government during the enlightenment. Montesquieu was known for his classification of government. He believed in freedom and tolerance for all man kind. Montesquieu's most famous work is "Spirit of Laws". Montesquieu became concerned about men and their natural place in the universe and he discovered the laws. Montesquieu shared his thoughts and beliefs which effected the enlightenment for the better.
The Spirit of Laws is Montesquieus most famous works. The Spirit of Laws was a book that was written by Montesquieu and published by Charles de Secondat in 1748. Though Monesquieu did not write this book alone, he had the help of Claudine Guenn de Tencin. The Genre of The Spirit of the Laws is non-fiction and focuses on the beliefs of Montesquieu. The book originated from france and is a big part of the history.
